Wrapping up a less than pleasant weekend

Under an hour left until the weekend is technically over. Normally I hate seeing a weekend end, except this was one of the most depressing weekends of my life. Starting on Friday I find out that my oldest dog has cancer. The type and how long she has left won't be known until the biopsy results are in, which is about another week of waiting. On Saturday I attended the memorial to an old roommate and friend of mine who succumbed to brain cancer on September 5th.

Today was quieter, spent the day with my dog and really didn't do much else that related to any kind of work. It is hard to get into, or even care much, about normal responsibilities on a day like this. Tomorrow is a new day and I can only try and value the remaining days she has left here.

Good bye Tom Engfer...

And to Kirsche, may these final weeks be something special.
