Fracture on OSX and Linux

Yes, we have finally broken free of Nvidia PhysX with our own solver which gives Fracture cross platform support. Unfortunately there is no support for the Win64 versions of Maya, yet. Also our solver isn't much over a month old and is only now being distributed to testers. It is still buggy and somewhat slower then PhysX, however I have noticed that on previous simulations where PhysX did a lousy job of handling collisions with geometry intersections on detailed simulations where there was a heavy variation in shard sizes and shapes. So far our solver is handling these collisions with more accuracy. Outside of normal bug fixes some of our testers have been giving us good feedback on features and workflow. One upcoming feature (which I am responsible for) is a spread sheet unique to Fracture nodes. Unlike the default spread sheet in Maya this one is not dependent on selections. Working out a glitch with the UI on Unix systems so I have to redo the UI code. One of our testers, Derik van den Berg, has recently created a demo combining Fracture and RealFlow. He is also a student of TD College.
